Job Title: Backup and Disaster Recovery Engineer Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote – per week) Duration: 6 - 12 months with a high possibility of extension or FTE conversion. Dutra, Km 154 - s/n - Jardim das Industries, São José dos Campos - SP, 12240-420, Brazil (Note: We are hiring for all Two levels: Senior and Lead) The Backup / DR engineer is a hands on engineering role that will be responsible for the operational management and platform engineering of the Kenvue backup and disaster recovery environment. This role will have knowledge of data protection and disaster recovery concepts and on premise and cloud backup storage hardware and software. Responsibilities: · Engage in Incident, Problem & Change Management functions. · Ensure Backup and DR platforms are monitored properly, and are healthy. · Configure Backup software to ensure data is protected to align data protection standards · Configure Disaster Recovery patterns to provide the Disaster Recovery platform to business applications · Engage with the business teams to engineer Disaster Recovery solutions following patterns · Engage with the business to coordinate and execute Disaster Recovery Testing · Coordinate platform Patching to ensure Compliance · Minimize Configuration drift, to drive a more consistent and reliable OS that is easier to manage · Deploy and upgrade firmware and updates as necessary · Partner with the business to understand their needs and to minimize impact due to changes. · Create and maintain regulatory documentation such as SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), WIs (Work Instructions), STDs (Standards), GDLs (Guidelines), etc. · Collaborate and integrate with engineering services and platforms. · Creates opportunities for efficiencies through innovative strategic decisions balancing cost and quality. · Delivers high quality work outcomes and customer service in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting to meet company needs. · Drive innovation through automation of services and capabilities. Qualifications: · BA/BS required and degree in STEM field preferred · 5+ years of relevant technology experience in one or more of these storage technologies: Dell DataDomain hardware, Dell DataDomain Virtual Edition, Veritas Netbackup software, VMware SRM software · Demonstrated hands-on Backup and DR Engineering/Operations experience · Outstanding employee relations skills. · The ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams. · Proven track record of innovation and continuous improvement. · Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritize in parallel. · Customer service orientation, eye for business value, and a bias for action. · Expert at working with virtual, and diverse global teams of varied backgrounds and cultural experiences. · Exercises independent judgment, strong decision making and problem solving for key processes. · Experience working in On-premise Cloud and public virtual private Clouds.
