You will lead a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient operations, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety protocols to meet customer demand and organizational goals.**Job Context**Operating within the warehouse department, the Warehouse Leader works closely with stockman, logistics teams and production assembly lines maintain the smooth flow of materials and products through the warehouse facility.**Job Dimensions**- Reports to: Supply Chain Manager- Manages: Warehouse Staff (Stockmen)- Collaborates with: Logistics, Engineering and Production Team**Key Accountabilities**1. Team Leadership:- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among team members.2. Inventory Management:- Oversee the receiving, storing, and organizing of incoming inventory and materials.- Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.3. Order Fulfillment:- Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and meet quality standards.4. Warehouse Operations:- Establish and enforce warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and best practices.- Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.5. Equipment Maintenance:- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.- Schedule routine maintenance and repairs as needed to minimize downtime.6. Quality Assurance:- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory and orders.- Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.7. Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and warehouse activities.- Generate reports on key performance metrics, such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role in production environment.**Behavioural Competencies**- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures for warehouse operations.- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.- Forklift certification and other relevant certifications are desirable.
