Senior Staff Counsel

Location: Sao Paulo, Sorocaba (Hybrid) Full time/Permanent Benefits Salary open to discussion - with potential for bonus C1 English skills IMI plc is seeking a talented and experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our legal team in São Paulo, Brazil. This role will be instrumental in providing legal counsel and support across multiple areas, including compliance, privacy, litigation management, and contract review. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Brazilian law, with expertise in navigating complex legal issues and managing legal risks Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution; admission to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) required. 4-7 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on compliance, privacy, litigation management, and contract review in a corporate or law firm setting. Extensive knowledge of Brazilian legal and regulatory requirements related to compliance, privacy, and litigation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal risks and develop practical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders . Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working in the engineering or manufacturing industry. Familiarity with international compliance standards and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR). Fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish a plus), with proficiency in legal writing and communication.
