Senior Software Engineer Front End (Remote)

The Role We are looking for a talented and experienced senior front-end developer to work on an exciting new project on fixed term 6 month contract. The role will involve liaising, discussing and collaborating with front and back end endineers and UX designers to achieve a good design. The role is primarily a front-end developer position. We want someone who is motivated by emerging technologies and has a passion to drive digital transformation. A real desire to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment is essential. You will be joining Occupop at an exciting time with an ambitious roadmap to become leaders and pioneers in our field. Responsibilities Delivering best-in-class user interfaces across the Occupop platform. Developing high quality, testable and performance software using agile practices; to have a particular emphasis on developing testable software.  Driving best technology and software development practices in the team with passion and enthusiasm; software technologies and best practices are constantly evolving, get involved with helping to improve the team. Assisting analysts and business stakeholders in shaping, estimating and planning new requirements. Participating in regular showcases of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders. Striving for continuous improvement within the team. Requirements Proficient in HTML/CSS/JS.  Professional experience in React. Knowledge of Angular framework, or a willingness to learn is needed. Comfortable coding custom JavaScript solutions as well as utilising existing frameworks. Exposure or appreciation of agile development practice: Code reviews Documenting tickets through Jira Unit testing Passionate about user experience. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent understanding of the coding standards required from a security and performance perspective. IT Bachelor's degree. 3-6 years' experience in a fast paced commercial environment.
