What you'll achieve
As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will deliver products and improvements for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, you will craft and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most sophisticated technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and partnerships.
You will: Create automation, employ open-source software, interact with API's, and enable CI/CD to create new cloud features, harvest/visualize metrics, monitor health/performance/capacity, etc
Partner with product and development teams to provide education and design consultation
Support development teams to migrate applications to Kubernetes based container platform
Design specifications for high availability and highly scalable applications which will be used by Dell Internal application teams
Assist in crafting the strategic technical and architectural direction to the programming function

Essential Requirements Strong experience with Linux, Networking and storage fundamentals, Kubernetes, Service Mesh - Istio, Programming - Shell scripting, Python, NGINX, HELM, Automation - Ansible, CICD.
Strong working experience with application architecture, HA, DR, Infrastructure services (DNS, Load Balancer, Firewall, TLS certs, web servers, reverse proxies, GIT)
Experience with Kubernetes networking, Certificates, Kubernetes storage, Kubernetes monitoring/observability, Kubernetes RBAC, Container/pod security
Knowledge about Operator SDK/use of Fabric8 API and broad knowledge in systems telemetry and monitoring (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace Splunk, etc.)
Advanced English level. Experience with Agile methodologies, effective working independently and in a virtual team setting.
Desirable Requirements Varied knowledge of database, development, system engineering and networking concepts
