Researcher Iii

This role's main deliverable will be to ensure the production of vectors for trait expression according to the demand for new product development. The successful candidate will design expression vectors and engineer trait leads for increased efficacy while ensuring adherence to our internal process and interfacing with other areas such as quality management, regulatory, and IP. Strong communication skills and abilities to train and mentor others within our team is expected. This position is part of a team located across sites (USA/Brazil) and, thus, significant remote interaction is expected on a regular basis.

Experience and SkillsStrong understanding of transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms at the molecular levelDesign and optimization of expression vectors (plasmids) for plant trait expressionProtein engineering or directed protein evolution for improved protein activityPlant, bacterial, and cell-free expression systems for proteins and RNAFamiliarity with molecular tools for analysis of DNA, RNA expression, and especially protein accumulationExcellent English level

EducationMaster in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience in relevant areas (desirable)
