Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor/Estimator seeking an exciting opportunity in one of Brazil's most enchanting locations? Join our team in Jericoacoara and play a pivotal role in bringing dreams to life!We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join the team and manage all costs relating to the project. This includes budgeting, estimating, scheduling and cost controlling. In this role, you will be at the heart of transforming business into reality. Your mission is to ensure the successful estimation and further allocation of resources in order to deliver the project complying with its budgetary constraints.The location is Jericoacara, Brazil and the chosen candidate would have to relocate there for the duration of the project.Key responsibilities:Prepare cost estimates and budgets for the projectConduct analysis to estimate materials, time, and labor costsDevelop bills of quantities for construction activitiesQuote and procure materials and subcontractors at the best possible pricesReview and challenge proposals from subcontractors and suppliersMonitor project progress and expenditures to ensure they stay within the budgetEvaluate and negotiate contract terms with suppliers and subcontractorsPrepare and submit progress reports and variations to stakeholdersResolve any disputes related to costs or contracts

RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or other related fieldFluent communication in English and Spanish/Portuguese

Work ExperienceProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in construction projects (+5 years)Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in high-end hospitality/residential projects (+3 years)Proven experience estimating budgets for construction projects over $20M USDProficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, Google Sheets, Revit)Proven built network of industry connections and relationships with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers

Nice to have:Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, PQS)Work experience in construction site roles
