Job Profile / Activities: This job in the Motor Grader Product Group (EMD) is a product support specialist dedicated to current product health activities and NPI field support. This person will be responsible for field-follows during NPI, or field tests for NSI or components endurance tests. He/she will also be responsible for support to the industry product support team in the field related to product issues, root cause analysis, dealer support for parts and service, and related failure investigations. This specialist is expected to use Product support tools and processes as well as NPI projects and activities related to product reliability, diagnosis, inspections and manufacturing processes to ensure high performance of our product in operations, quality, durability and reliability in the field. What you will do: - Coordinate program initiatives across the organization. - Utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of organizational products and programs to educate customers and team members within the department. - Cultivate and maintain ongoing internal and external customer relationships. - Measure product performance and support districts on developing improvement action plans and gap resolution initiatives to support quality, endurance, product health and optimize O&O costs of our product line. What you will have: Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately. Effective Communications: Excellent communication skills, besides ability to deal with different audience at different levels in organizations internal to CAT, at dealers and customers. Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving profile is required together with leadership, initiative and organization/prioritization skills. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
