Mid-Level Java Developer

About the Job: We are seeking a back-end Developer to join our growing team and contribute to a state-of-the-art decision making application. As a vital part of our development team, you will develop features that are scalable, secure, and high-quality. If you're a tenacious problem-solver interested in taking on stimulating projects and expanding your technical skills, then this could be your next step! What You'll Do: Code the back-end of our application using Java and join in on Spring Framework action. Team up with other departments to brainstorm and build cool new features. Help set up and maintain the systems that automatically build, test, and deploy our code (think Docker and Kubernetes). Write tests to make sure your code does what it's supposed to do. Give and receive friendly feedback on code to help make it better. Play a role in keeping our app secure and protected. Have a hand in organizing where and how our data is stored, whether it's in SQL or NoSQL databases. Constantly learn, adapt, and fine-tune how we make software. Who you are: Hands-on experience with Java. Familiarity with Spring Framework. Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes. Engage in conversations and code reviews with an open mind. Interest and ability to write clean code and perform tests on it. Knows the basics of keeping applications safe from security threats. Comfortable working with databases, whether it's SQL or NoSQL. A practical problem-solver who can find the right balance between perfect code and getting the job done. Can handle data in common formats like JSON and XML.
