Boeing Brazil is looking for a Mid-Career Flight Controls Electronics Engineer , reporting to the Flight Control Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil office.
The Mid-Career Flight Controls Electronics Engineer will join the Flight Control System team supporting various Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) programs during development, certification and sustaining phases including 787, 737MAX, 777X and future programs.
This position will own electronics hardware and software development through its life cycle, including system trade studies, architecture definitions, supplier management and oversight, requirements development, design and analysis, laboratory test, equipment qualification, certification process, customer and fleet support, among other roles.
Position Responsibilities: Electronics system design and review
Development of system requirements for hardware components and software functions
Requirement decomposition of higher-level requirements into sub-system design requirements
Investigation of flight-test and field issues related to flight control system
Detailed test procedures authoring, execution and analysis for integrated rig testing
Execution and analysis of ground/flight-testing at aircraft prototype in support for development of hardware and software
Modeling and simulation of systems using MATLAB/Simulink
Support to system architecture definitions for new commercial aircraft developments
This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
Must have a degree in Engineering
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)
Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
Experience with electronic systems hardware or software engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience): Bachelor's Degree from an accredited course of study in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering or Computer Engineering
Experience with aeronautical systems development following ARP4754 standard
Experience with software development oversight following RTCA DO-178 standard
Experience with hardware development oversight following RTCA DO-254 standard
Experience with hardware qualification following RTCA DO-160 standard
Experience with electronic sub-systems/equipment supplier's management and oversight
Experience with systems testing at laboratory or rig environment
Experience using requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS
Knowledge in modeling and simulation with MATLAB/Simulink
Experience leading cross functional teams
Experience with hardware and/or software verticalization projects
Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
