As aJunior RefrigerationOfficer, you will be working with the Chief Refrigeration Officer toholdthe ropes andensure thatrefrigeration and air conditioning systemsfunction smoothly at all times to provide guests onboard the best vacation experience. Your duties include:
Supportingand working withthe Refrigeration Officer(but not limited to)onthe maintenance, repairsand upkeepof the vessel's Ventilation/Air Condition and refrigeration systemsPerformingchecksand repairsof AC Compressors and Provision compressors, ensuringthat all parameters are in orderandthat HVAC systemonboard the shipisworkingat all timesPerformingchecksand repairsofthe correct function of the invertersand other parts of HVAC systemto verify that measured values are in the compliance with the position of the actuator and design valuesPerforming allmechanical/refrigerationtasksand repairsunder supervisionof Chief Refrigeration OfficerAssist the Refrigeration Officer in the execution of the maintenance and routine testing of equipment, instrument and automationas per planned maintenanceEnsure that all aspects of our occupational health and safety programs are effectively appliedEnsure all aspects of the company's global (HESS-MS) Health, Environment, Safety and Security Management System are effectively applied during his/her working activitiesParticipate in drills and training as required by the companyComplete additional assignments depending on shipboard operationsand training programMinimum Requirements:What do you bring to the table?Basic Training Certificates as per STCW standardMinimum 12 months shipboard experience as Refrigeration Cadet or Junior HVAC EngineerExperienced with industrial refrigeration plants / HVAC systemHigh School Diploma, Technical training with AC / HVAC certificationEnglish language proficiencyStrong focus on ships safety managementFollow Carnival's Occupational and Health policies and procedures at all timesAbility to work well with a teamBeing representative of Carnival BrandPreferred Requirements:What would we love to see?
