We manage 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfill its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, ensuring that we consistently make our customers' port calls as efficient and safe as possible.The position:The Husbandry Agent will be a good team player, being responsible to coordinate the customers' requirements as per the established Service Agreement and monitoring customer service needs, such as the provision of husbandry services, crew change, spare parts delivery, cash to master, and all arrangements required by the customer for port calls in the Americas region. Who you are: For Husbandry Agent, ideally you are an experienced Marine Industry, preferably you already have a solid understanding of the Shipping Industry and familiar with port regulations and procedure. The ability to work independently is critical, however always remembering you are a part of a team working to be successful together. The ability to work under pressure, to be a problem solver, and a solution provider are important traits to be successful in the role. Reliability, trustworthiness, multitasking, thoroughness, and determination are all characteristics that you also need to possess. What you will be doing: (Main Responsibilities)Coordination of global clientswith account sales on matters related to the coordination and service performance of Husbandry port calls entering the area.Ensure that all appointments are handled without delay and assigned correctly to responsible for service execution.Ensure advance funding (approved by customer) is remitted correctly to local agent's bank account at least 3 days before vessel arrival.Ensure correct amount of pre-funding are received or the correct level of authority has approved any deviation, prior to performing the Port Call.Coordinate port calls and services effectively, including proper monitoring of the vessel and attendance to any change requests in compliance with Ships Agency Standard Operating Procedures, including correct use of the operating systems (WASP and Virtual Agent whenever applicable).Select and book suppliers and sub-agents using standard supplier management processes and systems and in compliance with Supplier Governance standard. Monitor and record expenses that arise during vessels' port call, responding and follow up on customer enquiries as well.For global port calls, monitor the execution of the port call and work closely with Operations to ensure that we meet customers' expectations.Ensure Cash-in-Transit (Cash to Master) as per WSS procedure.DA handling (Proforma & Revised), including correct data input, monitoring, and verification.Required experience and skills:Reasonable standard with experience rather than formal education.Experience from the marine industry, preferably ships agency operations.Fluent English – both written and spoken.
