.Responsible for the day-to-day procurement, expediting, and control of the entire supply chain from requisition until delivery on-board for a group of units, in accordance with Supply Chain (SC) related proceduresLiaise with freight forwarders, client, and logistics at the country of operation when required to consolidate as many regular orders as possible and keep the number of deliveries and cost of freight and custom handling to a minimumAssure quality and suitability of spares and equipment purchased, in close liaison with adequate departments/divisionWork with service providers that do procurement for BWE, giving them guidance and support with audits, checks, etcActively follow up changes in the supplier market and keep a good and balanced contact with domestic as well as international associates, taking an active part in supplier meetingsApply thorough cost control on all goods quoted, purchased, and supplied under his/her responsibilityActively contribute to continuous improvementsActively contribute to implementation, negotiation, and understanding of frame agreements, as well as being able to see where additional agreements are requiredEnforce offshore and onshore unit management to follow the Company's policies and procedures in SC mattersTo the extent deemed necessary, carry out supplier auditsActively contribute to global SC in bid input related to new contracts in the local marketLiaison with global SC to ensure optimal sourcing for the offshore unit(s)Oversee that the group of units IFS database is maintained and updated at all times, and on a quarterly basis liaise with requisitioner (FPSO) over non-attended purchase requisition and verify if material is still required or notParticipate in daily/weekly operations meetings with the unit, maintenance, and operation managerLiaise with other internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Business Development, Estimating, Engineering, etc.) when requiredContribute ideas for improvement of best practicesTaking ownership and an active part in the implementation of SC initiatives, ensuring compliance with best practices and procurement proceduresOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducationEducation / degree within Engineering, Purchasing and/or Logistic Administration will be preferredLong relevant experience may replace educational requirementsExperienceIdeally 3 to 5 years of working experience within Purchasing, preferably from Supply Chain within the oil & gas or marine-related industry. Previous experience with ERP systemsInterpersonal SkillsGood interpersonal and communication skills. Solution-oriented with good negotiation skills. Proactive and able to work independently.
