Bookkeeper/Accountant

A well-established Auditing and Accounting firm based in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their team.
Join a dynamic team of finance professionals in well-established company located in Hillcrest. Our client has been in the finance industry for over 30 years, and they specialised in accounting, auditing, tax, payroll, and advisory services. We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant who is passionate about finance and is ready to take their career to the next level.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years working experience in an accounting firm.
• Experience in Pastel Partner & VIP, Xero, QuickBooks
• Payroll experience
• Minimum: BCom degree
Some of the duties and responsibilities include:
• Ability to work on Xero, pastel and QuickBooks – IE: Capture supplier invoices, debtors invoicing, import bank accounts and coding.
• Ability to extract vat 201 reports, complete and submit VAT 201 returns on SARS efiling and set up payments for clients to authorize.
• Ability to calculate PAYE, UIF and SDL, Complete and Submit EMP 201 returns.
• Ability to work with easy file, reconcile EMP 501's and attend to submission both on efiling and easy file.
• Ability to complete workmen's compensation returns, liaise with the compensation office for queries, statements, and invoices.
• Assured navigation with SARS efiling
• Process payroll on VIP.
