AWS Senior Engineer will be part of the Cloud Engineering team which is responsible for building automated provisioning and platforming engineering abstraction for improved developer experience.The Cloud Engineering team ensures public cloud services are provisioned in a timely manner to Business partners. The Cloud Engineering team also ensures the various public cloud services remain compliant to the highest of security and best practice standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign solutions for automated provisioning and compliance of various AWS services using cloud-native capabilities and micro-services-based development.Partner with cross-functional teams in the design and development of various hybrid cloud capabilities. Facilitate design and review sessions between multiple teams including Application Engineering, Operations, Quality and Security teams.Perform reviews of technical documentation that supports various automation capabilities. Create design documents, common patterns that facilitate the acceleration of adoption of various cloud services among application teamsPartner with external service providers to provide talent and services to drive high standardsDrive innovation through automation of services and capabilitiesDesign, deploy and maintain complex AWS-based infrastructure and solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and securityCollaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for cloud-based projectsDevelop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code templates for deploying AWS resources and cloud foundation.Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.Perform reviews of technical documentation that supports various automation capabilities. Create design documents, common patterns that facilitate the acceleration of adoption of various cloud services among application teamsPartner with external service providers to provide talent and services to drive high standardsDrive innovation through automation of services and capabilitiesCreate Multi region Cloud foundation and automation for AWS.Design and developer Self-service Cloud capability delivery.Required QualificationsBA/BS required, preferably in STEM field5+ years of relevant technology experience2+ years of public cloud (AWS) experience.Strong expert level skills of AWS services including PaaS serviceStrong hands on design and architecture experience on AWS.Strong background in software engineeringHand-on experience in building solutions using various AWS servicesHands on experience in one or more programming languages preferably PythonHands-on experience developing Cloud agnostic Infrastructure As Code pipeline using TerraformStrong understanding of agile development processes and Agile tool set JIRAUnderstanding of micro-services and REST APIs-based application developmentUnderstanding of GIT-based source code management, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Groovy ScriptingExperience in developing AWS Policies.Experience in deployment of multi-tenant Kubernetes platformUnderstanding of Linux kernel and window server operating systemExperience in working with bash, PowerShell scripting.Must be able to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to management effectively.Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skillsWith little supervision, must be able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with othersMust be able to lead and influence othersMust be able to mentor, instruct, and review technical deliverables of junior staff and peer engineersStrong verbal and writing skillsMust be results-driven, a quick learner, and a self-starterDesired QualificationsPreferred developer/associate/expert certification in AWS
