The Accounting Team Leader will be responsible for reviewing all direct and indirect tax activities. This person will also review financial statements, financial reports and other accounting responsibilities as needed, whilst maintaining a daily relationship with internal and external stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure financial statements and GL accounts are accurate and reviewed. Ensure all direct and indirect taxes are properly calculated. Perform tax accounting reconciliation versus tax books. Ensure all tax obligations for the region are delivered with quality and on-time. Provide accounting and tax consulting to all processes (invoicing, project and account managers, purchasing, etc.) to ensure tax compliance is met. Interact with external tax providers in the region to perform all key activities required by the tax authorities. Interact with customers and providers to discuss potential finance implications. Responsible for research and assess accounting and tax matters within the region with support of the local team and external providers. Co-responsible for reviewing financial statements, financial reports and other accounting responsibilities as needed. Ensure accounting and tax parameters are properly calculated within the ERP system and other tools used in the company (i.e. business calculator). Support the UK team in accounting and tax issues within the region. Other accounting and tax tasks on demand. Create and maintain good professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Have a professional and consultative exchange with the internal team. Be proactive in solving problems and finding solutions when necessary. Optimize delivery of the activities within budget and deadlines. Communicate effectively and timely. Use know-how to prioritize activities and key deliverables. Be able to work independently and help other processes whenever needed. This position is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This is a Hybrid position.
