Accountant I

**Job Summary**: This position is responsible for all aspects of the G/L accounts for the Company, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet, and P&L analysis.**Primary Responsibilities**:- Analyzes information detailing accounts payable. Coordinates with budget managers for approval and allocation. Prepares payments for multiple jurisdictions.- Collects, summarizes, and interprets financial data to prepare journal entries for month end close including prepaids, depreciation & amortization, and credit cards.- Bank reconciliations for multiple jurisdictions. Reconcile credit card statements.- Reconcile and review various balance sheet and income statement accounts (prepaids, fixed assets, banks)- Assist with external audits.- Works on special projects and other duties assigned by Manager- Ad hoc reporting**Qualifications****Education**:- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Finance, or Accounting, from 4-year College or university- Advanced English **required****Experience**:- 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience**Technical Skills**:- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)- Working knowledge of Pivot Tables, V-lookup, and basic financial functions within Excel- Experience using Yardi preferred, but not required- Must have working knowledge in a standard accounting system**Soft Skills**:- Highly organized and detail orientated- Excellent data entry and scheduling skills- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines- Time management skills; deadline adherence is mandatory- Must possess strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail**Physical Requirements**:- Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day- Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
