Academic Supervisor

This is an international opportunity with a company based in the United States, open to candidates residing in Brazil.The organization will handle all necessary legal procedures to enable the professional's engagement as an Academic Supervisor across all MILA campuses, situated in Miami, Orlando, Boca Raton, Jacksonville, and Boston.The Academic Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of academic delivery for MILA's programs. Key responsibilities include overseeing teachers, curriculum delivery, and alignment with MILA's vision and mission. The Academic Supervisor is expected to:Provide guidance and direction to faculty, including involvement in the selection, hiring, and onboarding of new members.Manage teacher performance through classroom observations, feedback sessions, and continuous training and development.Ensure the timely submission of rosters, student folders, work records, and Independent Student Reports (ISRs).Act as a resource for teachers, addressing questions about curricula, student behavior, and other instructional matters.Provide academic advising to students and monitor their progress.Contribute to the development and implementation of new/revised policies and procedures.Coordinate the Student Orientation Program, as needed.Analyze data to make informed decisions aimed at improving the quality of services and faculty performance.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree required, preferably in ESOL/EFL; master's degree preferred. CELTA, DELTA, or similar is desirable.Specific knowledge and skill set in language teaching methodologies, linguistics, English structure, second language acquisition, and intercultural communication. If you have already worked in schools with a communicative methodology approach, that will be a differential.Near-native proficiency in English.Experience teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred.Availability for travel within the USA.Previous experience as an academic supervisor in language schools is an advantage.This is a full-time, on-site position in USA (Head-office located in Miami FL).
