Title: Senior Tax / Accounting AnalystDepartment: Remedy FinanceReports to: Senior Manager, Regional FinanceLocation: Macaé - BrazilGL Accounts analysis and reconciliation and month end closeTax Master data maintenanceResponsible for manual entries made by the department, not only by processing them in the system, but also to create them and analyze them before placing officially;Support on questions regarding the accounting processes for internal customers;Responsible for accounting reconciliations;Support details for the consolidation of corporate balance;Support the local and global projects that impact the accounting department;Comply with local and corporate reporting and procedures deadlines;Payroll, CIT and VAT accounting - working closely with the Lead Accountant to ensure balance sheet control and reconciliation to tax authority statements.Ensuring accuracy of accruals and prepayments including regular direct contact with cost center and purchase order managers across the business.Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracyRecords and reports financial transactions and manages revenue, expense, asset, liability and equity accounts. Responsible for recording accounting adjustments, accruals, allocations, currency revaluations.Review accounting entries in ERP system and ensure all are reflected in Local Statutory booksClosely work with outsourced accounting and tax teamsPayroll accountingTax (Credits and liabilities) accounting and reconciliation;Vendor withholding taxesCustomer revenue and invoicing support;Customer penalties and charges reconciliation and control;Bank reconciliation.Vendor advances and reconciliation to billing sheetsImportation costs accounting and conciliationOther as requiredRequirements:Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business AdministrationAt least 5 years of experience working in accounting and tax environmentsERP Systems – experience with IFS is a plusEnglish skills – intermediate to advanceBasic to intermediate knowledge of Brazilian direct and indirect taxesExperience in the Oil & Gas industry
