Solfacil is Brazil's leading and fastest-growing solar technology company. Today, our services enable installers to efficiently help homeowners go solar by providing fast, easy and affordable solutions. We combine our financing with the distribution of solar hardware kits - including panels, inverters and batteries - and monitoring tools in order to make the solar purchase, installation and maintenance experience seamless for all parties. Solfacil is investing in product and technology to evolve into a world-class platform company and are looking for top-notch talent to join us on our mission. As the Staff Product Manager for E-commerce, you will be responsible for the end-to-end platform and experience for our Distribution business, which includes both our omnichannel sales platform (e.g. e-commerce site, whatsapp, app) and the underlying fulfillment platform (eg: inventory control, delivery system, payments service, ERP integrations, etc).
In this role, your scope will be both broad and deep. You will play a leading role in formulating the product vision and defining the product strategy for this domain, and be responsible for setting objectives (OKRs) and delivering results. This includes leading opportunity discovery, definition and prioritization, building a roadmap that prioritizes the right work and aligning stakeholders around it, and ultimately driving successful delivery of initiatives and commercial outcomes.
To be successful, you will be a strategic thinker and executor, building deep understanding of market trends, competition, and customer needs to come up with differentiated solutions and also ensure we're delivering them in the right order in the right way to reach the right results (OKRs). You will understand how a top-notch product team and top-notch product managers should operate, and bring that product culture, set of operational best practices and reference to your peers in product.
To excel all of the above, you should be a good communicator who is adept at storytelling and can set the right messages and tone effectively across the company.
Core Components of Distribution 1. Sales Journey: Enable seamless and effective sales of hardware for installers in a self-service seamless experience.
2. Fulfillment : Deliver the products with excellence and accuracy, including all the logistics complexity of a continental dimension country.
3. Integrations: Creates components and plugins that can be used to sell in other parts of our ecosystem or externally.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Own and drive the strategy execution for the Distribution journey.
Act as the real owner with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, but also align with peers and leaders when trade offs arise, bringing organized data to help the decisioning process. Collaborate with stakeholders and continuously align learnings, roadmap direction and execution progress for his part of the portfolio.
2. Drive the delivery of our Distribution OKRs (e.g. GMV, delivery accuracy, etc), Ensure that our work is aligned to our overall objectives, and check constantly if the objectives remain making sense. When facts change and we need to adjust, do so with the right speed and process rigor. Identify new opportunities and bring them into our roadmap process.
3.Being part of the construction of a strong product culture, operationalizing best practices and evangelizing culture across your peersm and other teams, in a polite and cooperative way, so that they learn and respect you as a specialist on the theme.
4. Ensure your tribe operates efficiently and effectively. Be willing to step in and coach (and if needed, do) to get the job done. Identify bottlenecks and blockers and build scalable processes where needed to enable seamless execution. Consistently measure velocity and drive continuous improvement.
5. Act as a champion and practitioner of an outside-in product mindset. Operate with strong commercial fluency - to the point where you are more commercially fluent than your stakeholders, and therefore can set direction and lead - rooted in a deep understanding of our market, customers, competitors and our own product-market fit. Uncover non-obvious insights that expand our knowledge of our customers and ecosystem.
Requirements and qualifications: 1. 8+ years of overall work experience. 5+ years of experience with Product Management,
2. Experience in key parts of ecommerce / distribution / technical sales products in a B2B2C or correlated business. Bonus if you also have a technical background (CS degree).
3. Strong track record of delivering winning products, meaningful commercial outcomes.
4. Effective Product Manager Operates as the CEO of his product. Builds relationships and trust with stakeholders, peers and leadership. Operates with confidence, rigor, openness, humility and kindness.
5. Clear, structured thinker with a commercial mindset and strong business judgment. Can effectively formulate strategy and balance strategic imperatives with day-to-day execution. Quickly and effectively synthesizes complex information, understands the second and third order implications of decisions and drives tradeoffs accordingly.
6.Has sufficient technical acumen to understand how technology works and effectively partner with engineering in conversations about architecture and team velocity.
7. Clear and effective communicator. Brings the right message with the right tone to the right audience at the right level. Compelling storyteller in both English and Portuguese.
8. Intellectually curious (but not academic). Interested and aware of key trends, both in the market and technology, and seeks to apply them to our daily work. Actively seeks out external and internal data and perspectives (market, customer, competitor, academic research) to solve complex problems and expand our horizons. Has a growth mindset and focuses on continuous improvement, both for themselves and the team.
9. Strong first-principles thinker. Gets to the root of problems and opportunities by driving to the baseline facts and logic.
10. Deep understanding of Agile development and best practices. Leverages these practices in a way that is practical, relevant, and outcomes-oriented (vs. academic and box checking) to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
