What You Will DoThe Sr. Scientist – Long Term Inovation is responsible for:Key Responsibilities·Act as a technical subject matter expert to understand specialized fundamental science, and leverage ingredients and products crafted in LATAM for Suncare innovation.·Scouting and technical screening of external opportunities with suppliers, external manufacturers, universities, and startups.·Translation of scientific insights, mechanisms of action, into consumer relevant benefits to elevate scientific communications internally and externally.·Partnering externally and internally to conduct scientific studies, and conducting or directly supervising hands-on laboratory studies.·Explore internal and external capabilities to develop new methodologies/models for Suncare & related areas·Staying current competitive landscape and state-of-the art scalp research via literature, patent, product, and regulatory intelligence monitoring and collating information to craft the innovation strategy.·Acquire, analyze, interpret, and organize data systematically, write and document research, reports, and protocols.QualificationsWhat We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications·Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biomedicine, Biology, Physics, Chemical Engineering (desirable Master or PhD degree).·Advanced English is required (spoken and written).·Knowledge of Skincare ingredients, formulations and formats.·Strong connection and interpersonal skills, including external partnerships.·Strong technical curiosity and passion to spark new projects.·Diversity, Equity and Inclusion values.·Availability to work in São José dos Campos/SP at least 2x per week. Desired Qualifications·Knowledge in Skin Health science and efficacy testing methods (in-vitro and/or in-vivo).·Data science and innovation savviness.
