We're now looking for a Senior Back-end Developer to join us and to lead, innovate, and play an active role in developing our application roadmap. # YOUR ROLE We are seeking an exceptional Back-end engineer who wants to be part of bringing innovation, creativity, and security to the data governance world. You are motivated in delivering well documented, clean, and efficient code with a passion and curiosity for the art of programming. You enjoy living by the code of your craft and developing mind-blowing solutions for complex problems. You are a true techie at heart. You will be in charge of supporting the interchange of data between server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition, implementation and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well. You will collaborate with the team member and follow necessary processes in an Agile evelopment methodology. You enjoy collaborating with different Team members and can turn ideas into tangible solutions but can also work independently with speed and efficiency. # RESPONSIBILITIES Database management: creating, updating, tables and fields as per business requirements while utilizing proper architectural designs Create API layer using AWS cloud services with GraphQL & KnexJS Ensure that the output data is correct according to the input data Work directly with the team to build and maintain our API based integrations Design and implement new endpoints as per database and system architecture using best practices and methods Utilise best practices and deliver high quality process for engineering team Provide status updates during daily stand-up meetings Participate in code reviews and work with the team to improve internal coding standard Document your technical work and research to help facilitate product development and to improve general support Ensuring Palqee is secure, highly available and performs with low latencies and zero downtime # REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Experience with GraphQL is a must Experience with popular Node.js web frameworks and/or utility libraries in particular Knexjs Extensive experience in CICD process using GIT, Create Docker image and deployment in AWS environment Experience using AWS Lambda functions and related cloud services like AWS RDS, Cognito, etc Experience with relational database systems including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and DB2; and writing complex SQL queries Building reusable code and libraries for future use Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability Implementation of security and data protection Create technical documentation Follow and establish best practices for coding standards and software architecture Experience with microservices and respective architecture design principles and scalability best practices Experience in creating API design/technical documentation (Raml, swagger) Experience designing and developing RESTFul API Services in NodeJs Solid understanding of distributed systems and REST API communication # NICE TO HAVE Experience working on SaaS product Experience following domain driven design principles Experience in ReactJS Knowledge in Queueing systems or Event Bus architecture Familiarity with privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles # WHAT WE OFFER Be a part of a fast-growing technology startup and shape the future of AI Governance, GRC and Data Protection R$12.000 - R$18.000 monthly salary, based on experience Full-time sub-contractor role (PJ) Stock Options included Family friendly work conditions and environment Remote work + Flexi-hours Opportunity to relocate to one of our global offices Tickets for the best conferences in the industry Budget for training, material and development Opportunity to enrich our Spotify playlist!
