UTEC is looking to add a Project Surveyor to the team. The Project Surveyor will provide technical survey expertise while assisting Project Managers to achieve safe and profitable execution of assigned projects. They will initiate and coordinate communication between all concerned parties including customers, suppliers, and both onshore and offshore Company staff. The Project Surveyor will contribute by continually monitoring and improving procedures to ensure quality results are achieved.
The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area.

Duties Assist to manage complete lifecycle of projects, from award phase, through planning, execution, monitoring, completion and closeout phases, as well as post-completion evaluation and reviewContribute to project risk assessments prior to mobilizationConfirm and accept transfer of project material generated during the bid stage to project teams, including contract requirements, technical specifications, and commercial terms needed for proper execution of projectsAssist in project execution and be responsible for identification, documentation, and action on contractual variations as they ariseAssist the Operations Management of personnel requirements for projectsSource project equipment both internally and externally for project executionIdentify and mitigate potential technical, commercial, QHSE risks for assigned projectsAdminister and assist with specific project tasksUtilize the appropriate procedures, work instructions, and forms within the IMS to properly facilitate compliance with Company standardsReview survey specifications in contract and project documentationProvide input to the preparation of commercial and technical proposals as requiredCompile project specific survey procedures in line with the Company's operating proceduresWork with other disciplines within the Company to ensure high quality technical content for commercial and project supportProvide technical support to offshore teams as and when requiredQC and issue of final reports in line with agreed timescales.Completion of project risk assessments prior to mobilizationParticipate in quality control of final deliverables to clientLiaise with internal logistics personnel to coordinate offshore staff and equipment mobilizationConduct site and client visits as requiredUtilize the appropriate procedures, work instructions, and forms within the IMS to properly facilitate compliance with Company standardsProvide technical input to bidding process as requiredMonitor project costs (3rd party and internal) against revenue on a daily basis, and provide weekly and monthly tracking reports of estimated revenues and costsLiaise with Cost Controller to ensure timely and accurate tracking of financialsCreate/Approve supplier Purchase Orders and invoices (within your authority and responsibility) for procurement within the timeframe required for the accounting department to process and report at regional monthly P&L meetingSupport project briefings and close out review meetings with field staffPromotion of the MTCS program and UTEC IMS Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience requiredOffshore survey industry experience as a Senior Surveyor and/or Party Chief requiredMust be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with othersProficiency with Microsoft Excel is essentialAbility to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precisionAbility to competently and professionally present project materials in client meetings, as well as identify and mitigate client concernsAbility to work both independently and within teamsMust hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the Company routinely operates#J-18808-Ljbffr
