We are GiG Media, one of the fastest-growing iGaming affiliate companies in Europe. GiG Media focuses on online promotion of iGaming (casino and sports betting) in the form of affiliate marketing, both paid and SEO.The Head of Content will contribute to GIG Media's mission of growing and developing its online gambling affiliate business by overseeing and managing the operational aspects of one of our flagship websites. The Head of Content will be in charge of implementing strategies to realize the strategic objectives of the Publishing department, i.e. defending, growing, and diversifying the business, as they relate to content, SEO, human resources, processes, and procedures. Furthermore, the Head of Content will be the key person in charge of the content team, consisting of members working with various languages. Additional responsibilities include people management and development and continuous optimization of GIG Media P&L in collaboration with the rest of the management in GIG Media. The Head of Content will be reporting directly to the Director of Publishing.ResponsibilitiesThe Head of Content will have the following responsibilities and duties: Developing and leading the content strategy on our flagship website consisting of several languages and targeting several different markets Managing the workflow and output of the content team Overseeing the quality of content across our flagship site Proactively work with the Directors of SEO & Publishing, department heads, and other teams to create checklists of items to be implemented across all websites Collaborate with the Tech, Design, and PO teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed on all websites Ensure that all necessary SEO and content checks are performed before website launches or redesigns and that potential issues are fixed before going live Constantly monitor competitor websites to discover and fill content gaps, as well as gaps with partners and technology Regularly check our portfolio of websites to discover issues or suggest improvements in terms of content and flag these to team members, offering assistance if required Monitor and report to the Director of SEO & Publishing and the wider management team on the status of content initiatives, as well as on the progress made in achieving our strategic objectives Ensure that our website meets the latest compliance requirements stipulated by our partners and regulatory bodies and oversee their implementation when found to be lacking Work closely with the Talent Acquisition and HR teams to execute the hiring plan and solve issues related to underperforming team members Attend monthly meetings and report on content performance Hold knowledge-sharing sessions with the wider team and actively participate in the training and development of team members Actively work on developing their leadership and people management skills both independently and as part of courses and events organized by the company At least 3 years experience of working in a content leadership role within the igaming industry An educational background in journalism, communications, literature or a similar field within the Humanities A passion for content and upholding the highest standards when it comes to quality control Exceptional written and verbal command of English (other languages are considered to be an asset) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Demonstrated passion for high-energy execution and problem-solving Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Keeping up to date with all the latest changes in search engine algorithms and new and experimental methods Experience with a content management system (CMS) Willingness to constantly experiment and test new techniques Openness to and desire for innovation Commitment to personal and professional growth and improvement both as a specialist and as a manager Positive attitude and a growth mindset Business knowledge: Expert knowledge of the betting and casino market Able to analyze content costs and create forecasts Flexible and adaptive mindset to meet internal and external requirements.
