Be a part of the EDC Team!Responsible for the preparation of the contract technical requirements and management of materials and services for major upgrade, modification, and/or maintenance of the Civil/Structural, Piping/Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation activities (outside the scope of the Facility O&M) and special projects (e.g., corrective works, Landslide Mitigation Measures (LMM), FCRS Hook Ups (CSPMEI), Building Facilities, Well Drilling, Testing and Operations Support Services.Monitors and manages the performance of contractors, and ensures contractor compliance to the approved design, specifications, standards and quality of workmanship as well as the necessary performance security, warranty security, permits and insurances as specified in the terms of the contract.Strategic PlanningExecutes the implementation of cost-efficient work program for all projects and Landslide Mitigation Measures and special projects while managing risks to a minimum level of consequence and probability of occurrenceImplements the directions and objectives set by PEM Superiors for the preparation of detailed strategies and action plans for the planning horizon.PlanningIdentifies and/or coordinates with the different Departments for the identification of major/upgrade, modification, and/or maintenance of the Civil/Structural, Piping/Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation Structures (outside the scope of O&M) , Landslide Mitigating Measures and special projects .Prepares technical contractual requirements (terms and reference, scope of work, technical specifications, quality requirements, bill of quantities) for outsourced service and purchases requirementExecutionad project implementation and identify potential long lead or potential cost escalation items and provide guidance to service providers (contractors) for measures and strategy to minimize impact on cost, time and business opportunity.Identifies technical risks for the project and provide guidance and direction in the development and implementation of a risk response plan ensuring that identified risks as well as risks encountered are mitigated and are properly communicated to the stakeholders.Ensures that operational risk management best practices in place are appropriate, operating effectively, and consistent with the policies, legal and contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.Determines project parameters, comparing results with the original plan and/or industry standards, to determine what aspects are working and what needs to be improved and drive the implementation of the recovery plansRegularly assesses and evaluates applicability and effectiveness of the project strategies against target metrics and recommends recovery plans based on emerging issues and changing operating conditionsDOCUMENTATION AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTEnsures all documentation requirements for the projects are properly managed.Leads in the development and implementation and continuous improvement of systems and processes for planning and managing projects as well as LMM projectsDevelop and ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of systems and processes for tracking, managing and reporting of project control measures such as but not limited to scope, schedule, quality and financial performance.RISK MANAGEMENTIdentifies inherent and possible risks that could negatively impact the business, process, people and environment by utilizing relevant techniques, and determines the potential severity and probability of these factors.Conducts risk analysis, analyzes the data gathered, and recommends mitigation measures to prevent or address these potential hazards.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES1.
