This second phase shall lead to enhance State of Alagoas engagement toward sustainable and inclusive urban prosperity, through a better understanding of the urban setting, and the establishment or improvement of its public policies, plans, and actions.In order to properly implement this project, a Data Collection Assistant is required to ensure a good execution of the work programme.Report to UN-Habitat ManagerThe Data Collection Assistant reports to the National Officer for Brazil, who will evaluate him/her.**Responsibilities**:Under the overall supervision of the National Officer for Brazil and the Project Coordinator in the UN-Habitat office in Maceió, the Data Collection Assistant will perform the following activities:- Support the responsible team for the data collection for Socioeconomic Profile to be developed in municipality of Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil.- Disseminate the Programme within the communities- Ensure proper collection of data and information.- Participate in local meeting as requested- Ensure equity and diversity in survey participation in terms of gender and race.- Maintain orderly, standardized and structured data records.- Collaborate with the institutional knowledge mechanisms by compiling, reporting and sharing information.- Be responsible for ensuring that all activities observe the principles of integrity of the United Nations.- Perform other duties which may be requested by the supervisor.The consultant will be responsible for completing all courses and training activities that are indicated to him/her by his/her supervisor. The security course BSAFE is required to be accredited during the first month of employment.The consultant will be responsible for his/her own security, so the person should get familiarized with United Nations security mechanisms and comply with them according to the Framework of Accountability for the United Nations Security Management System.Outputs/Work AssignmentThe Data Collection Assistant shall assist the implementation of the above-mentioned project according to the responsibilities indicated below.Qualifications/special skillsAcademic Qualifications:Required:- Secondary School or additional 2 (two) years of relevant technical experience to the post, beyond the requirement.**Experience**:- A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in project/programme management on development or urban related themes.- Professional and academic experience on themes related to data analysis and information, geoprocessing, or statistics.- Academic experience related to urban data in Brazil.- Previous experience within the UN System is desired.**Skills**:- Good computer skills in the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams and Google (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Forms) are required.- Good knowledge on project management methodologies is desirable.- A minimum of
