Solicitor/ Chartered Legal Executive - Complex Property Job Introduction The "Complex Property" team is part of the wider "Property" service line, which in turn sits within the firm's "Claims Solutions Group". The team acts for a large number of insurer clients, undertaking some of their highest value, highest profile and most challenging work.
The work falls into three broad categories: (i) subrogated recovery claims (typically over £300,000); (ii) defendant public liability property damage claims; and (iii) policy coverage disputes (some of which is advisory work). In short, the team deals with all manner of disputes and problems arising out of fires, floods, storms, escapes of water, escapes of oil, explosions, impact damage (basically any way in which a property might become damaged).

Who you are A qualified solicitor, chartered legal executive or barrister with at least six months' relevant litigation experience Technically excellent with an aptitude for analysing difficult legal cases Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on a day to day basis, within the team's reporting and supervisory structure Commercially and financially astute Team-orientated, and willing to share knowledge and support other members of the team and the wider firm Directly relevant experience (e.g. recovery, liability or policy/advisory work) is desirable, but not essential, provided the candidate is enthusiastic and willing to learn!
