Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our QA Team at Yieldstreet. As a member of this team you will be responsible for contributing to the quality-driven culture of the company, working closely with developers and other testers to streamline the testing processes, maintain our automated test suites and deliver high quality products on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities: Understand product/feature requirements and question them constructively from a QA perspectivePerform exploratory testing on systems and featuresGiven feature requirements, communicate with Product team to design test cases to adequately test that feature in a way that is representative of real use casesMaintain our test frameworks, adding new functionality and resolving issuesDevelop stable tests within our test frameworks with scalability and maintainable in mindTest at both end-to-end (web and mobile) and integration level (REST, GraphQL)Perform manual and automated testing as requiredUsing critical thinking and problem solving skills, analyze reasons for failures, carry out root cause analysis and work collaboratively with developers to resolve issuesProactively communicate with leads, architects and devs regarding upcoming features and how they should be tested, even suggesting ways to make solutions less bug prone.Clearly report and follow up on issues, communicate the level of urgency of each issue clearly to developers, persistently chase resolutions and escalate when needed.Form productive relationships within the QA team and product teams, ensuring ongoing communication and collaborationContribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and frameworksStay up to date with the emerging technologies and approaches in test engineeringQualifications and Requirements Must have:
Proven experience as a Test Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar roleStrong proficiency with Cypress or another web automation frameworkStrong proficiency with JavascriptExperience with testing web applications, API testingFamiliarity with GitExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsStrong communication and team working skillsNice to have:
Degree in Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience working with object oriented languages such as Java or C#Experience working with TypescriptExperience testing mobile applications (both manual and automated)Experience with testing asynchronous service oriented architecturesExperience with CI/CD pipelinesWhat's in it for you: Competitive compensation packages including equity
