The Global Insights & Analytics team at Olympus Corporation helps define and lead the transformation towards becoming a global, data-driven MedTech company with the help of data and modern data technologies (e.g., Machine Learning, Deep Learning). To us, Data and Advanced Analytics is an important lever to reach our business targets, now and in the future; It helps differentiate ourselves from our competition and ensure sustainable revenue growth at optimal margins.

Olympus is now looking for seasoned "Senior DataOps, DevOps and MLOps Architect/Engineer" who would be a key member of the global Data & Analytics Platform team. This role would be specifically accountable for scaling, refining, and running the Azure-based Data & (Advanced) Analytics environment at scale and in production, ensuring Olympus as a company can efficiently and effectively leverage Data and (Advanced) Analytics going forward.

Your responsibilitiesDefine and build company-wide frameworks and libraries that will enable faster, better, and more informed decision-making within the business at scale and in production to help optimize business value out of Data & (Advanced) Analytics.Ensure data availability and accessibility for prioritized (Advanced) Analytics scope and automate stable data science pipelines from data exploration, training, development and especially deployment.Create and manage data environments in the Cloud at scale, including in production. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to build up future proof standards.Understand the current cloud infrastructure and build applications that satisfy all requirements of IT security.Have a strong understanding of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of various types of data.Plan and deliver secure, good practice data integration strategies and approaches at scale including in production.Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and app infrastructure maintenance.Manage app infrastructure with zero downtime and ensure highly available, scalable apps.Set up a monitoring stack for each application.Implement the application's CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with our Data & Analytics Platform team and in collaboration with other key stakeholders within Olympus world-wide.Write infrastructure as code using e.g., CloudFormation or similar (Terraform).Develop and document Data and (Advanced) Analytics methodologies, processes, standards, and good practices together with Data and Analytics Platform team and in collaboration with the Data and (Advanced Analytics community within Olympus. Facilitate good practice sharing within the world-wide Olympus data technology community and relevant business stakeholders.Support talent recruitment and onboarding with Data & Analytics Platform team.Act on ad-hoc requests and enquiries.Mentor, manage, guide and onboard third-party vendors as well as internal teams on how to follow best practices and use the Olympus Azure-based Data and Analytics Platform.Lead the implementation and management of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) processes, frameworks and tools in collaboration with the Data & Analytics Platform team.Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve DataOps, DevOps and MLOps workflows and processes. Build MLOps pipelines to train, deploy and monitor Machine Learning and Deep Learning models in the cloud.Improve code performance for those projects move into production.Master or PhD from a reputed institute in relevant fieldAt least 4-6 years of relevant working experience, ideally in pharma environmentAt least 3 years of experience in production grade, large-scale systems design and in running e.g., Azure environments at scaleSolid experience with core Azure services, plus the specifics mentioned aboveSolid experience with Docker. Having used ECS in the past is a plusIdeally, experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, XrayIdeally, practical experience with Big Data ecosystem (Hive, Kafka, Spark), ETL frameworks as well as Kubernetes/EKSSolid experience in multiple database technologies such as: Distributed Processing (Spark, Hadoop, EMR), Traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) MPP (AWS Redshift, Teradata) NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Titan)Experience with at least one web development frameworkStrong notions of security best practices (e.g., using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.)Strong understanding of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of dataKnowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using e.g., CloudFormation or TerraformExperience in implementing DataOps, DevOps and MLOps workflows and processes in production environments, ideally in the cloudStrong understanding of machine learning concepts and technologies, as well as experience working with common machine learning frameworksExperience with building or maintaining cloud-native applicationsAbility to learn new technologies and operate in a dynamic and diverse environmentSelf-starter, used of structuring his/her own work and working efficiently in multi-national corporate environmentsResult-driven, be an analytical and creative thinkerAbility to work with cross-functional teams and bring business and data science closer together - consultancy experience a plusFluency in English necessary, additional languages a plusUsed of working remotely / "offshore"Global positionWork in a multicultural and diverse environmentReferral commissionMedical Health InsuranceInitial and continuous training24 vacation days offDay off on your birthdayChristmas Eve offAbout Olympus CorporateThe Corporate Division is responsible for centralized functions that include Finance and Controlling, HR, IT, Quality Management and Supply Chain Management.
