JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description:Key responsabilities:Optimise the social and environmental footprint of the materials we sourceDevelop regional sustainable sourcing strategy aligned with the global strategy, transform this strategy into implementation plans, and lead the implementation together with the buyers and suppliersEnsure our suppliers' facilities operate in line with our sustainability standard by implementing the Next Generation Supplier programEngage our suppliers in setting Science Based climate goals by inviting them to the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition programOptimize our environmental impact, with a strong focus on Climate/Carbon, by implementing the Next Generation Origin – Climate program, focussing on three interconnected strategies: Ensure no deforestation is linked to the materials we source; Optimise sourcing; Drive Climate-Smart / Regenerative AgricultureEnsure continuous compliance to our external zero deforestation commitment for beef, soy, and paperEnsure compliance with our Fish sustainability standardsResponsabilities also include:Co-Lead the Regional commercial team by being a member of the Commercial leadership teamEngage, train, skill-up Commercial colleagues and integrate sustainability in Commercial processes, systems, and toolsConnect with S&F to ensure proper set-up and allocation of sustainability related cost.Connect with Corporate Affairs and the Demand side to enable them to leverage sustainability achievements through corporate and brand communications.Build an internal network with commercial colleagues in the segment as well as with your peers in the other segments, and represent RC in the various internal sustainability working groupsBuild an external network with industry peers, universities, 3rd party experts and represent Royal Canin in regional external platforms and industry coalitionsSupport other departments/functions (Formulation team, Logistics, Alternative Materials, etc) where neededMars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
