The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Consulting Architect - Middleware to join us in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You will be responsible for translating the client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex technology solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites. You'll collaborate with the broader Sales and Technical Delivery teams to bring our customers solutions that improve the Red Hat Middleware suite including J2E runtimes, business rules, business process management, enterprise messaging, data virtualization, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), cloud computing, Red Hat OpenShift, 3scale by Red Hat, and more. As a Consulting Architects - Middleware, you'll work hand-in-hand with the account team, clients, and consultants to ensure their architectural visions are communicated and delivered effectively. They focus on open source technologies and must be intimately familiar with Red Hat's product offerings, while also conversant in the wider landscape of both complementing and competing products and technologies. They have the ability to motivate and influence groups, whether the members of the group have an affinity for Red Hat products and services or not. Consulting Architects are expected to divide their time between project delivery, non-billable internal initiatives, and presales activities.

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in computer science, engineering or MBA8+ years of experience in consulting services3+ years of enterprise architecture experienceProven architecture experience using cloud-native development, Kubernetes, agile integration, and development, continuous integration (CI), test-driven development (TDD), service-oriented architecture (SOA), message-oriented middleware (MOM), Identity and Access Management, governance, high availability, scaling, distributed applications, clustering, etc.Experience with Java development technologies like Spring Boot, WildFly Swarm, or JEE, including Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP), WildFly, Oracle WebLogic, or IBM WebSphere.Familiarity with Java development frameworks like Spring, Netflix OSS, Eclipse Vert.x, or Play and other technologies like Node.js, Ruby, PHP, Go, or .NET.Solid verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skillsStrong facilitation skillsAbility to manage both time and workload independentlyExpert in designing implementation solutions to deliver expected business outcomes applying application and technology capabilities.Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, including Agile (e.g. Scrum), Waterfall, and IncrementalFluency in English is mandatoryWillingness to travel up to 50%
