Who are you?
You are an experienced
Senior Cost Manager
with significant experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment/industry.
Job Description
The Senior Cost Manager will take responsibility for effectively delivering a range of tasks to high quality standards and aid on a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions.
The professional will report to a Cost Management Associate Director and will be responsible for the commercial aspects of projects in several sectors, supporting with budget management, project cost control, estimation, procurement, and change control during execution.
Candidates should preferably have experience in the
Data Center and Real Estate
sector.
Responsibilities
Support estimations according to all design phases.
Monitor and control valuations.
Participate in value engineering sessions.
Prepare and analyze change orders.
Develop progress measurement criteria with vendors.
Collect cost market data.
Support the quotation process by responding to questions from services/materials proponents.
Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes.
Quantify materials and labor for all phases of a project.
Support reviewing project budgets after design packages issuance by the technical team.
Collaborate in the creation of the recommendation report.
Participate in weekly project and departmental meetings.
Issue weekly progress reports on project costs including forecasting reimbursable expenses.
Support stakeholder management.
Qualifications
Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Architecture.
Several years' experience working in similar roles, mainly during the construction phase.
Complete project ownership.
Knowledge in Cost Control, Cost Estimate, Change Orders, and Cost Management are desirable.
Knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction costs.
Ability to analyze and interpret commercial and technical project documentation.
Commercial awareness and understanding of the construction process.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally, externally, and with our supply chain.
Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and play an active part in the construction team.
Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
Keen to pursue personal development needs and keep up-to-date knowledge.
Advanced experience with the MS Office Package (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project.
Knowledge and skills with PowerBI are a plus.
Fluent in English.
Spanish is a plus.
