Position Procurement Manager Job Description As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's logistics and supply chain management. You will be responsible for strategizing, negotiating, and contracting with logistics service providers across various modes of transportation and warehousing facilities for our subsidiaries in the LATAM region. Your primary focus will be on driving cost efficiencies, improving service level agreements (SLAs), and fostering innovation within our logistics operations. Roles and responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing Strategy: Prospect, negotiate, and contract logistics service providers for transportation including Full Truckload (FTL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), milk-run, dedicated fleet, vessel, air, and courier services. Additionally, manage contracts with brokers for import/export services, and oversee risk management and warehousing contracts for LATAM subsidiaries. End-to-End Process Management: Execute all processes related to contracting, including project mobilization, network strategy development, defining business requirements, supplier selection through Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), negotiation, contract finalization, transition, and ongoing performance management. Innovation and Cost Reduction: Identify and implement innovative initiatives aimed at reducing costs, optimizing supply chain processes, and improving SLAs. Collaborate with the logistics team to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Tactical Execution and Financial Analysis: Demonstrate strong tactical execution skills in managing procurement projects and contracts. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support decision-making processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals and budgetary constraints. Communication and Influence: Effectively communicate procurement strategies, initiatives, and performance metrics to internal stakeholders, including senior management. Influence and enable the logistics team to embrace innovative solutions and best practices in procurement and supply chain management. Background & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) is a plus. Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on logistics and transportation services. Proficiency in English is essential, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct financial analysis, interpret data, and make data-driven decisions. Demonstrated experience in contract management, supplier relationship management, and performance measurement. Proven track record of delivering cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies in a procurement or supply chain role.
