We're looking for a skilled DB2 LUW DBA to join our dynamic team and help us deliver exceptional services to our clients. Check out the exciting details below: Responsibilities: Provide top-tier managed services to support our client's DB2 LUW database environment. Support EDW DB2 LUW databases, offering troubleshooting and break-fix support to ensure smooth operations. Extend support across Production, QA, and Development environments, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct database backup and recovery using state-of-the-art tools like CommVault and custom scripts. Execute data refresh for the DB2 Disaster Recovery database, ensuring data integrity and reliability. Configure and administer DB2 databases with precision to maintain stability and security. Perform monthly database restores from production to disaster recovery to safeguard against data loss. Address any issues and questions across all in-scope DB2 environments promptly and effectively. Utilize performance tuning techniques for production support purposes to enhance database performance. Maintain database structures and monitoring to ensure optimal functionality and performance. Offer support to DB2 Clients connecting to DB2 LUW databases, ensuring seamless connectivity. Out Of Scope: Support of internally developed DB2 tools and code/batch jobs/scripts. Software upgrades and DB2 Patch Updates. Support for networking-related issues or tools. Support for legacy systems unrelated to in-scope vendor software problems or issues. Changes to database columns, tables, or other application changes outside of production support work. Resources and Hour of Coverage: Nighttime On Call Support: Be on standby for 26 weeks per year, from approximately 5 pm to 8 am EST. (Schedule TBD) Daytime Minor Enhancements: Available for 26 weeks, approximately 1,000 hours, from 8 am to 5 pm EST. (Schedule TBD) Please note: The schedule is subject to change, and candidates should be prepared for potential weekend work and varying start times.
