Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Engineer will be responsible to improve, maintain and repair all core plant and ancillary equipment within the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities as our Maintenance Engineer
- Maintain all plant and equipment.
- Attending and repairing daily break downs in Foundry and Machine Shop
- Identifying future improvements.
- Carryout TPM activities
- Ensure that services are sufficient for the installation of new plant.
- Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
- Build and develop effective working relationships with those both internally and externally, wherever appropriate.
- Support other departments and functions in line with the needs of the business.
- Undertake any other tasks and /or duties as required by the business.
Skills, Experience & qualities we are looking for from the Maintenance Engineer will include:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a hands on maintenance engineer, including preventative maintenance, fault finding and rectifying.
- Problem solving ability to include the processing of statistical data in order to rectify faults and improve mechanical effectiveness
- Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritise workload in order to meet required deadlines and performance standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic circuits and systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical & electronic circuits and systems
Desirable
- Be able to diagnose and repair faults on various control systems including Plc systems
